MAN KILLED IN LEENANE ROAD CRASH

A man has been killed in a road crash in Connemara.

The 43 year old died when the car he was driving collided with a ditch at Glennagevlagh, Leenane just after 1 o’clock this morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He’s been removed to University Hospital Galway where a post mortem examination will be carried out.

The N59 near Leenane is currently closed and the Gardai are carrying out a technical examination of the scene.
