MAN INJURED IN SUSPECTED WESTSIDE STABBING NOW STABLE

The man injured in this morning’s suspected stabbing in Westside is now in a stable condition at University Hospital Galway

Gardai at Millstreet are continuing to question the young city man arrested this morning in connection with the incident

They’ve extended his period of detention by six hours to continue questioning him about the assault on the man in Westside

A spokesperson for the HSE has confirmed that the man who was assaulted – who had been in a critical condition earlier – is now in a stable condition
