A man has been injured in a construction accident in Loughrea

The man was working on the construction of the extension to the Loughrea sewage treatment plant

He has been brought to hospital, but it’s understood his injuries are not life threatening

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Ballygasty, close to the golf club

It’s believed some steel works collapsed while concrete was being poured

The injured man is from the Ballinasloe area
