MAN DUE IN COURT OVER STANDOFF IN TUAM

A man is due in court in Dublin following a standoff with Gardai at his home in Tuam last evening.

The man is alleged to have had a weapon at the time he barracaded himself into the house at Parkmore Housing Estate.

He is due to appear before Dublin District court later in connection with the incident.
