MAN DUE IN COURT FOR RAMMING CAR INTO MERVUE PREMISES

A city man, in his 30s, is due to appear in court this week in connection with a break-in in Mervue yesterday[26/10], during which a car was rammed into a premises.

The incident happened after 1am yesterday when a stolen car was rammed through the Headmasters barbers in Mervue.

It’s understood 3 people were in the car at the time and a small sum of money was taken in the raid.

Later yesterday morning, a butchers shop and chinese take-away nearby were also raided.

Gardaí arrested two men shortly after 6.30am yesterday.

One of the men was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second man, who’s in his 30s and is from the east side of the city was charged with 3 counts of burglary and criminal damage.

He is due to appear in court this week.
