Man dies in Headford house fire
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A man has died in a house fire in Headford overnight.
3 units of the fire brigade and emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze, which broke out at a house in Liss around 1 o’ clock this morning.

Two men were in the house at the time.
One of the men managed to escape without serious injuries, however a second man in his early 60s died in the fire.
Gardaí have sealed off the house pending a technical examination this morning.
Meanwhile, crews also battled gorse fires in Connemara overnight.
The first blaze started at Lettermullen at 11.30p.m, while another vegetation fire broke out at Derryrush, Rosmuck just after midnight.
Fire crews were also called to a shed fire at Stradbally, Clarinbridge just after midnight, but no-one was injured in that incident.
The man who died in the Headford house fire has not been named until his family have been informed.
