MAN DIES IN CARNMORE CRASH

Galway Gardai are treating the death of a man in a single vehicle road crash in Carnmore as ‘sudden death’.

The deceased man was in his fifties and was the driver of a car which entered a field near the N6 at twenty past eight this morning.

There were no other passengers in the car.

Two units of the fire brigade attended the scene.

Gardai have closed the road between Carnmore Cross and Oranmore and diversions are in place.
