MAN DIES FOLLOWING WILLIAMSTOWN CRASH

A man in his fifties has died following a crash in Williamstown.

He was driving a car which struck a wall at Kildaree, Williamstown shortly after 9 o’clock this morning.

He was brought to Mayo General Hospital, where he died this afternoon.

Two women – who were passengers in the vehicle – suffered minor injuries.

The road between Williamstown and Cloonfad reopened this afternoon after a forensic collision examination was carried out.
