Man brought to Beaumont Hospital following Mountbellew assault

A man in his 20s is in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin following an assault in Mountbellew in the early hours of this morning.

According to Gardaí, the man is in a “serious condition” following an altercation with another man in The Square at around 1.15am.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
