MAN BEING QUESTIONED OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT IN CITY

A man is still being questioned at Galway Garda station in connection with an alleged assault on a woman in the city this morning.

The man was arrested around half three in Eyre square following the incident involving a number of people at the Imperial hotel.
