MAN ARRESTED REGARDING FATAL LOUGHREA ACCIDENT

A man who is alleged to have been involved in a fatal accident in the Loughrea area, last February, was arrested and questioned by Loughrea Gardai last evening (Friday).

The man was arrested in the area and taken to Loughrea Garda Station for questioning earlier yesterday.

He was detained for a number of hours and later released without charge.

A file on the matter is now being prepared for the Director of Public prosecutions.

A Loughrea man, Barry Shiel from Lissiniska, Kylebrack, lost his life in the accident near Loughrea last February.
