MAN ARRESTED IN RELATION TO CITY ATTACK

Gardai in Galway have arrested a man in connection with an attack in the city centre last night.

A 27 year old man is in a critical condition in hospital following the incident.

It’s understood he was assaulted near a taxi rank on Dominic Street at about half three this morning.

Gardai arrested a man this afternoon and are questioning him at Millstreet Garda Station.

He’s being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
