Man arrested after €150,000 cannabis seizure
A man in his 40s is due before Galway District Court on Monday morning, following the seizure of cannabis with an estimated street value of €150,000.
During a search at a house in Cappataggle on Sunday morning, the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit seized cannabis plants worth €144,000 and cannabis herb worth €6,600.
A man was arrested at the scene and later taken to Galway HQ in Renmore.
He was subsequently charged and is set to appear before Galway District Court tomorrow morning, Monday.
All of the drugs seized will be sent for further analysis and investigations are ongoing.
