MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGED BURGLARY IN CITY

One person has been arrested following an attempted burglary at Raleigh Row, near Sea Road in the city in the early hours of today.

The alarm was raised by the occupier of the house, a private resident at Raleigh Row, at approximately 2.10 am and Gardai rushed to the scene.

Two people are alleged to have been stealing property from the house.

The person arrested is being held for questioning at Mill Street Garda Station and Gardai also recovered a number of items at the scene.
