Man admits to manslaughter in Glenamaddy
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Latvian man, who denied murdering another Latvian man in Glenamaddy two years ago, has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter.
37 year old, Sergejs Krauze, with a former address at Dudley Heights, Glenamaddy, had denied murdering 30 year old Juris Buls on a date unknown between July 7th and 23rd, 2011, when he appeared for trial last Tuesday at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Galway.
Det. Sgt. Michaell O’Driscoll of Tuam Garda Station gave evidence that Mr Buls had been murdered over the sale of a car.
He said the accused man’s brother, Andrejs Krauze, had carried out the killing and had dumped the body in a drain in woods near Creggs village, 10 miles from Glenamaddy.
The jury was discharged today when Sergejs Krause pleaded guilty to Juris Buls’ manslaughter.
Mr Justice Barry White has adjourned sentencing in the matter to next Thursday.
