MAN ACCUSED OF RAPE OF 13 YEAR OLD SENT FORWARD FOR TRIAL

A Book of Evidence has been served on a man charged with the alleged rape and sexual assault of a 13 year old girl in the city in May.

The 44-year-old man – who can’t be named for legal reasons – appeared before Galway District Court today.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before the next sittings of the Central Criminal Court.
