MAJOR PROGRESS REPORTED IN ISSUES SURROUNDING N6 CONSTRUCTION

Major progress has been made to resolve issues surrounding damage to local roads and property following the construction of the new N6 Dublin to Galway motorway.

The fourth in a series of meetings to discuss issues in the Cappitagle, Ballinasloe, Athenry and Loughrea areas took place in lodge cross Athenry last evening.

Local representatives, the NRA and the N6 campaign team outlined that the majority of landowners and motorists issues have been adressed, with the rest still in progress, or to be dealt with in the next few weeks.

Any issues that cannot be resolved this year, will be agreed upon and put in writing by landowners and a contractor.

Meanwhile,tenders for works on the Lisheenkyle Castlelampard and Cashla roads have been opened by Galway county council.
