MAJOR FUNDING FOR FOUR GALWAY SCHOOLS

Four schools in Galway city and county have been given major funding boosts from the Tanaiste and Minister for Education Mary Coughlan.

Coláiste Einde in Salthill was granted funding to build four new classrooms and a science lab.

The Salerno Jesus & Mary Secondary School in Salthill was given funding for four new classrooms and business studies room, while Scoil Iosaif Naofa boys school in Oranmore also got funding for accommodation.

The largest funding award of two million euro was approved for Calasanctius College in Oranmore.
