Major auction set to create strong bidding

One of the biggest-ever property auctions in Ireland gets underway next Friday morning (October 3), and will see more than 70 lots go under the hammer.

The all-day O’Donnellan & Joyce Auction in the Harbour Hotel in Galway will see two separate sessions.

In the morning, registration begins at 10am, with the auction starting at 10.30am.

The morning session comprises mainly of investment opportunities, land and site sales, although there are also listings for family homes.

Among the key investment opportunities expected to generate huge interest are two blocks of apartments in Doughiska (14 units in all) with an Advised Minimum Value of €490,000.

There is also a block of six apartments in Gort with an AMV of €290,000, while on the Tuam Road in Galway, four fully furnished apartments are on the market for €450,000.

Residential properties also expected to generate strong bidding include a 5/6-bed detached house on the Knocknacarra Road in Galway with an AMV of €520,000 and a four-bed house on D’Alton Drive in Salthill with an AMV of €410,000.
