MAGDALENE WOMEN CONFIDENT OF STATE APOLOGY
Date Published: 11-Feb-2013
Women who lived and worked in the Magdalene laundries, including the one in Galway city, say they’re sure there will be a State apology from the Taoiseach.
A group of women held a three hour meeting with Enda Kenny and Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore this afternoon.
Last week Enda Kenny declined to issue an apology after the McAleese report found State involvement in the laundries.
