MAGDALENE GROUP MAKES SUBMISSION TO UN COMMITTEE

The survivor advocacy group for Magdalene women has made a submission to the U.N Committee Against Torture.

It follows Ireland’s most recent State Party Report, where the Taoiseach Enda Kenny made a formal apology to the women who worked in Magdalene laundries, including the one at Forster Street in the city.

Members of ‘Justice for Magdalenes’ will meet with Justice Quirke on Wednesday, who has been tasked with taking into account the findings of the State inquiry.
