Jingle Bang Jangle, the Spring production from An Taibhdhearc Theatre, will be staged in the city theatre from March 27 to 31.

Based on Chaucer’s The Miller’s Tale from The Canterbury Tales, Pádhraig Ó Giollagáin’s script includes royalty and lust. Central to the action is a blacksmith who suspects his wife is getting more than a few buns from the local miller.

Jingle Bang Jangle is directed by Rod Goodall with musical direction from Deirdre Ní Chuilinn, and features Peadar Cox as the blacksmith, Eoin Ó Dubhghaill as the miller, Ann Marie Horan as the visiting queen, Bainríon Betty, and Fionnuala Ní Fhlatharta as the blacksmith’s wife, Coigín.

The cast also includes Fred McCloskey, John Burke, Treasa Ní Cheannabháin, Sorcha Ní Chéide, Úna Ní Fhlatharta, Orlaith Ní Chearra, Caitríona Ní Dhomhnaill, Mícheál Ó Meallaigh and Jane Talbot.

Tickets for this production are priced at €20 and €18 (€15 for the preview on March 27).  They are available from An Taibhdhearc’s Box Office on 091-562024 from Monday to Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 12-5pm.

The performance is for audiences aged 15 and over.
