Luke McMullan show as Kennys reopen gallery
A Constant State of Motion, Luke McMullan’s second solo exhibition at the Kenny Gallery in Galway City’s Liosbán Retail Park, is running until August 4.
This edgy show from the Kildare-born artist who now lives in Galway, was originally scheduled for last July but couldn’t take place then due to Covid.
In the intervening time, Luke has painted a host of new works, which have been added to the original exhibition as Kennys reopen their gallery to the public.
Luke’s art journey began in the 1990s when he started writing graffiti under the pseudonym Stix. The graffiti influence remains strong, although he has moved away from painting on walls. Motion is a feature of his work as he aims to capture snapshots of the world.
A Constant State of Motion is at Kennys’ Liosbán gallery in Galway City until Wednesday, August 4. Opening hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Saturday, and all are welcome.
Kennys’ exhibition schedule will continue with some shows that had originally been planned for 2020 and they also promise a few surprises along the way.
