LRC TO ANNOUNCE RECCOMENDATIONS ON COCA COLA JOBS

A decision on the future of jobs at Coca Cola depots is expected today. (7/09)

The LRC, who intervened in the dispute last week, is due to give it’s reccomendations on the company’s plans to oursource 130 jobs, including 27 in Tuam.

Staff at the Tuam depot are continuing their picket today.

Negotiations between Coca Cola and SIPTU were unsucessful, and the LRC intervened in the row last Thursday.

Their decision is expected today, and SIPTU will vote on the proposals put forward.
