LOUGHREA SMART TRAVEL PROPOSALS TO BE UNVEILED NEXT MONTH

Loughreas bid to net five million of euro in funding for a ‘smarter travel area’ will be revealed to the public next month.

Plans including a community cycling programme, as well as an electronic charging point for electric vehicles will be put on show for public consultation.

Loughrea is competing against eleven areas including Galway city, Westport, Limerick and Navan for a total of fifty million euro in Government funding.
