Galway Gardai are asking people to remain vigilant for con-emails selling products that are disguised to look like they came from genuine websites.

A number of Loughrea residents have lost substantial amounts of money in the scam in recent days.

Gardai say the con emails include a link to a site that mimics the design of a well known shopping website
