LOUGHREA GARDAI WARN OF SPANISH LOTTERY SCAM

Loughrea Gardai are alerting the public to a Spanish lottery scam.

A number of people have reported receiving an ‘award notification’ letter in the post claiming they’ve won money through an international lottery sweepstake.

The letter, which was posted in Spain, then asks recipients to forward their bank account details to claim the prize.

Loughrea Gardai are now advising people to take any such letter to their nearest Garda station or destroy it.
