LOUGHREA ANGLERS WANT LAKE PRESERVED

A deputation of Loughrea anglers told the monthly meeting of the Town Council this week, that they’re anxious to preserve the lake in Loughrea as on the best trout fisheries in the country.

Johnny Maher said local anglers want to work with the Town Council on a 3-year plan and ensure the lake would be free from pollution.

Every week, anglers carry out improvement works to the lake in Loughrea and its two islands.
