LOST CHILD SCHEME PROVING A SUCCESS AT GALWAY SHOPPING CENTRE

A safety scheme to help find children lost in shopping centres quickly has proven successful for one Galway shopping centre.

The Child Safe Zones initiative is in place at the Galway Shopping Centre since April of last year following success in shopping centres across Britain

The Child Safe Zones programme works by dispensing paper wristbands to parents at the centres’ creche and various shops on which they write a contact number and attach it to their child.

In the event a child gets lost, security or centre management can ring the contact number to reunite the child with their parents.
