Long standing county councillor to retire
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Long-standing Fine Gael County Councillor Jarlath McDonagh has announced that he will not be contesting next year’s local election.
The Oranmore area councillor, who served as a senator, has been a member of the party for 30 years.
Galway West TD Brian Walsh has paid tribute to Cllr McDonagh and his electoral record.
Speaking to Galway Bay fm News, Cllr McDonagh says he hopes to spend more time with his family in retirement.
