The last of the incredible family of centenarians may have departed this earth – but that hasn’t stopped the Clarkes of Mullagh from breaking another world record… giving them a trifecta for longevity.

They have just been awarded a Guinness World Record for the most siblings to reach 90 years of age. No fewer than ten siblings lived into their ninth decade.

Their first title of most siblings to reach a century when five of them reached that astonishing milestone.

When the baby of the family, Sheila Burns, turned 100 in 2017, she gave them their second world record.

That made her the seventh member of the family to make 100 – their mother Margaret died after being knocked down by a car aged 101.

Four years before Sheila’s passing in 2018, her nearest sibling Madge Fanning celebrated her centenary for four months before joining the 11 other siblings in the great beyond.

It was her achievement that prompted family members to apply for the record, handing over birth and death records to prove the feat.
