LONDON NATIVE GIVEN FOUR WEEKS TO LEAVE TUAM

A former Tuam barber, has been given a month to leave the country and return home to England or else serve a prison sentence for breaching the peace.

31 year old Alexander Haddad, of 87 Cois na hAbhainn, Tuam, lodged an appeal to the Circuit Court in Galway against the severity of a two-month prison sentence imposed on him by Judge Geoffrey Browne at Tuam District Court recently.

The sentence was for breaching the peace following an incident at College Green, Dunmore Road, Tuam, on June 13 last.
