LOCALS WIN APPEAL TO BLOCK COROFIN DEVELOPMENT

An Bord Pleanala has turned down proposals for a development of houses, shops and a creche in Corofin, over drainage concerns

While planning permission was originally granted for the development at Ballybannagher by the County Council, this decision was appealled by locals

Joe and Imelda Glynn WERE going to demolish a house at Ballybanagher and build houses and commercial blocks in its place

However, they cannot go ahead with the plans now that An Bord Pleanala has blocked them

An Bord Pleanala considered the design of the development acceptable in terms of of architectural design

However, they refused permission for the plans on grounds related to drainage
