Localised flooding possibility in Galway

Localised areas of the city could be hit by flooding again this weekend.

The City Council has issued a high tide alert for tomorrow (Sun) and Monday.

The Council says the tidal event will not be driven by high winds or rainfall, so it’s not expected that we’ll see flooding like that experienced last month.

The main areas which could be affected are Spanish Arch in the city and Toft carpark in Salthill.

The high risk tides will be at 5.30 tomorrow morning (Sun), 5.55 tomorrow evening and 6am on Monday morning.
