LOCAL TDS URGED TO SUPPORT CONCERT HALL FOR GALWAY

Galway has missed out on many major creative and business opportunities due to the lack of a concert hall or conference venue.

That’s according to local senator Fidelma Healy Eames who’s calling on local government TD’s to strongly support Galway’s application for funding for such a venue.

The city council has applied for 62 million euro to fund a concert hall under the gateway innovation fund.

The Fine Gael senator believes the proposed venue, which would be in the Fisheries Field, is needed for Galway to become a creative city.
