Little John’s Tea Dance for June outing
Little John Nee and The Tea Dance Triode, featuring Fionn Robinson (guitar) and Peadar Coll (keyboards), will bring their music show Tea Dance back to The Mick Lally Theatre at Druid Lane on Friday, June 12, as part of the Druid Sessions.
The action in Tea Dance takes place on a Friday in May, a referendum day when a local woman is opening a Tea Emporium in the remote village of Tullyglen.
This is a place where everyone has a story and no one wants to tell it – the sort of place where world weary beatniks, bomb-makers, old hippies, contrarians, suffragettes and fugitives seek refuge so they can start afresh.
It’s like David Lynch’s Twin Peaks meets Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood with a live soundtrack as Little John Nee and The Tea Dance Triode weave a web of instrumental soundscapes with poetic narrative and sumptuous songs.
