LISBON TREATY CAMPAIGNS STEP UP A GEAR IN ORANMORE AND BALLINASLOE

Two meetings providing information on the Lisbon Treaty will take place in Oranmore and Ballinasloe this evening. (Thu 29th)

A number of high profile political speakers will attend both events.

Fine Gael is hosting a public debate on the Lisbon Treaty in Oranmore outlining the advantages of the Treaty for Irish workers, women, farmers and the economy

Fine Gael Spokesperson on European Affairs Deputy Lucinda Creighton, and Spokesperson on Justice, Senator Eugene Regan will both field questions from the public.

The debate takes place in the Oranmore Loge Hotel, at 8 o’clock this evening.

Meanwhile in Ballinasloe Fine Gael MEP, Jim Higgins and former leader, Alan Dukes, will address another meeting outlining the benefits of the Lisbon Treaty

The event will also be attended by Dail Deputies, Paul Connaughton and Ulick Burke and takes place at the Moycarn Lodge and Arena at 9pm.
