LIGHT RAIL SYSTEM BENEFITS TO BE FOCUS OF CITY WORKSHOP

The future of Galway’s transport and the benefits of a light rail system will be discussed at a workshop in the city on Friday.

International experts will share their experiences of the benefits and pitfalls of light rail schemes at the event in the Ardilaun Hotel on Taylor’s Hill.

Hosted by NUI Galway’s Department of Civil Engineering, speakers will include Professor Lewis Lesley of Tram Power and Cllr Niall O’Brolcháin.
