‘Light and Dark’ is the theme of the next storytelling night from local group, Moth and Butterfly. It will take place online next Wednesday, April 20, at 7.30pm.

Moth and Butterfly storytelling evenings incorporate Improvisation, true stories and fictional tales, with contributions from the group’s creative crew and from the audience (when in-person events take place).

Guests and crew, including Órla McGovern, Niceol Blue, Jackie Roantree, Rebecca Mann, Maria Credali and Catherine Brophy will take part in next week’s online event.

They suggest “finding a comfy spot and lighting a candle or a fire if you have one, while enjoying a cup or glass of something to help you listen”!

This is a night for oral storytelling, so no reading or notes are allowed – just pure story, explains the group’s founder, storyteller, writer and performer Órla Mc Govern.

‘Light and Dark’ will be broadcast live on YouTube next Wednesday and will be available to watch until the weekend. After that, it’s gone.

These events are not suitable for children and the recommended age is 18+, with discretion encouraged for teenagers.

Moth and Butterfly’s monthly online storytelling sessions are accessible to all. This is made possible due to audience support, so they welcome any contributions people would like to make (normal admission is €7/10 for  ‘in person’ monthly events).
