Lifetime Award for Pat McDonagh
Supermacs owner Pat McDonagh has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the board of Ireland’s Forecourt and Convenience Retailer Awards.
Mr McDonagh was chosen to receive the award due to his work in the retail industry which has spanned over the last four decades.
The Barack Obama Plaza, which is owned by Pat and his wife Una, also received the award for Best Customer Service.
The Supermacs founder recently announced plans to open three new motorway service plazas over the next two years at Junction 16 on the M6 in Kiltullagh, and on the M18 in Ennis and Limerick. These new developments will create 320 new jobs.
“I am delighted to have received such a prestigious award. The team Una and I have worked with over the last 37 years in business have been key to helping us grow solidly and steadily to get to where we are today,” said Pat.
