LET’S DO IT GLOBAL NOT RULING OUT 2014 BID

Let’s do it Global says a decision to proceed on a Galway bid for the next Volvo Ocean race has simply been postponed and not ruled out completely.

This strong statement is at odds with comments made by Harbour Master Brian Sheridan on Galway Talks earlier today when he said that race organisers were now skipping the 2014 event and focusing on a bid for the 2017 race.

In a statement this afternoon the organisers of this year’s Volvo Ocean race Galway finale stress they can’t proceed for a bid for 2014 until all obligations from this years race have been honoured.

Around 400 thousand euro is owed to companies following this Summer’s stopover.

While it had been thought the closing date for the 2014 event was end of September it has now been confirmed the closing date to bid for a leg is December 7th.
