Council roads and drainage crews are attempting to alleviate heavy flooding in parts of the city this afternoon.

The worst affected locations include the Spanish Arch and Flood street.

However ,Wolfe Tone Bridge at the Spanish Arch and the Lough Atalia road have now both re-opened. (2:40)

They were closed for several hours after torrential rain this morning.

Motorists are advised to drive with care until flash flooding subsides.
