LEGAL CHALLENGE ON CARDS TO FIGHT SHANNON DECISION

A legal challenge may be on the cards in the fight against the Aer Lingus withdrawal of the Shannon Heathrow service.

Crisis talks between tourism and business leaders from the west in Shannon yesterday heard that a senior counsel has been consulted with a view to fighting the decision in the courts.

The concerned interest groups, many of whom are from Galway, have called on the Taoiseach to reconvene the Dail as a matter of urgency.
