LEENAUN DAY TRIPS DOWN 50 PERCENT DUE TO BRIDGE COLLAPSE

There are reports that tourism is noticeably affected in parts of Connemara because of the collapse of the Leenaun bridge.

The Leenaun bridge is the main link between Connemara and Mayo along the scenic coastline route.

Reports suggest that day-trippers to Leenaun itself may be down by 50% or more.
