Launch of 100 new homes
Burkeway Homes have launched details of ‘Fánán’, their latest development on the western side of Galway City.
The development on an elevated site on the Letteragh Road translates broadly as ‘sloping hillside’ and will comprise 101 new homes.
These homes have been designed by award winning architects McCauley Daye O’Connell in conjunction with Burkeway Homes to incorporate “cutting-edge modern building technology creating homes with A2 BER Ratings” according to the developers.
“Thought and care has gone into every aspect of the design to benefit the eventual owners of these homes,” said Michael Burke of Burkeway.
The development is situated 2.5km from the city centre and is in close proximity to both the National University of Ireland Galway and University Hospital Galway.
Amenities such as schools, shops and sporting and recreational facilities are in the immediate area, while Fánán is only a five-minute walk from the local shopping centre with supermarket, award-winning butcher, café, bakery, pharmacy and medical centre amongst others.
There are also fantastic leisure facilities provided locally with playing fields, running track and playgrounds.
Comprising 46 three and four-bedroom houses and 55 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, Fánán offers an ideal opportunity to purchase a high-quality new home in a convenient location.
Construction is well advanced on the houses element of the scheme that will incorporate the initial phases of development.
The properties for sale will comprise of modern, spacious, A2 Rated 3 & 4 bedroom semi-detached and four-bedroom detached homes.
“Following the last number of weeks spent in our homes, people now value having quality outdoor space where they live, great care and thought have gone into the amenity spaces in Fánán, with landscaped, open green spaces, pocket parks, an all-weather playing surface and children’s playground on site.
“We have introduced brick in strategic sections of the site, to complement the overall design process. The design and orientation of each home have been carefully planned to maximise the use of space and light,” said Mr Burke.
First Time Buyers at Fánán may qualify for the ‘Help to Buy Scheme’, the government’s tax refund initiative for First Time Buyers purchasing new houses.
This incentive, which was extended up to the end of 2021, means that qualifying purchasers could be eligible for a tax rebate of up to 5% of the value of the property subject to a maximum of €20,000.
Other recent Burkeway developments include Breacán, 15 homes also on Letteragh Road, and Maoilin, which is a development of 102 homes on Ballymoneen Road in Knocknacarra.
