LACKAGH COMMUNITY GETS ALL CLEAR FOR PLAYGROUND

A major community drive to build a playground in Lackagh has cleared another hurdle.

Lackagh playground committee has got planning permission to build a childrens playground at Knockdoemore.

Locals from communities such as Lackagh, Knockdoe and Claregalway have been fundraising for months to raise money to help build the facility.

Once funding has been secured, the 940 square metre playground will be located at a site owned and donated by Turloughmore hurling club, which is close to several schools in the area.
