KYNE DEFENDS GALWAY ROAD PROJECTS REVIEW

A Fine Gael Galway West TD has hit back at accusations the new Government has done a u-turn on major road and rail projects in Galway.

Deputy Sean Kyne claims Fianna Fáil Deputy Eamon O’Cuiv’s accusations are just scaremongering.

Deputy O’Cuiv earlier said major Galway projects such as the Outer City Bypass, the M17 Gort to Tuam road and the Western Rail Corridor could be abandoned under Transport Minister Leo Varadkar’s infrastructure review.

Responding, Deputy Kyne said Minister Varadkar had decided nothing yet but admitted we are living in different times to the previous administration.
