Kodaline for Big Top concert
Kodaline will make their Arts Festival debut with a headline concert this at the Big Top on Saturday, July 18.
The Dublin quartet of Steve Garrigan, Mark Prendergast, Vinny May and Jason Boland enjoyed massive success in 2012 with their multi-platinum selling debut album In A Perfect World. The album went to number three in Britain, spent nine weeks at number one in Ireland and brought them to the attention of Europe and the US.
Kodaline released their second album Coming Up For Air earlier this year and their success is continuing – their recently announced UK and Irish tour dates are all sold out.
All I Want, from their debut album, has appeared on a number of successful TV and film soundtracks including Grey’s Anatomy and box-office smash The Fault in Our Stars.
Other songs from In A Perfect World continue to crop up on soundtracks – Pray appears on the trailer for Horns, starring Daniel Radcliffe and both A Perfect World and Brand New Day appear on Gogglebox every week.
Kodaline will play the Festival Big Top on Saturday, July 18, in a co-production between the Arts Festival and the Róisín Dubh. Doors are at 7pm. Tickets priced at €45 go on sale at www.giaf.ie and roisindubh.net from this Friday, April 3.
■ Galway International Arts Festival will take place from July 13-26.
