KINVARA MAN FOUND NOT GUILTY OF DEATH BY DANGEROUS DRIVING

A 63 year old Kinvara man has been found not guilty of dangerous driving causing death.

John Ray with an address at Kinvara appeared before Galway Circuit Criminal Court.

John Ray was charged with dangerous driving causing death contrary to Section 53 of the Road Traffic Act.

The incident took place on 22nd May 2010 at Cahercon in Kinvara where motorcyclist Keith Honan died in a road collision.He had been travelling on a backroad between Gort and Kinvarra approaching an area where Mr. Ray was attempting to overtake a car which was herding a group of 8 cattle.
