Kinvara becomes first Irish town to boycott Israeli goods
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Kinvara has become the first Irish town to completely boycott Israeli goods in protest over the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Potatoes, carrots, avocados and herbs are among the food products imported from the conflict-torn region.
Pharmacies in the town are also investigating the origins of medicines stocked with a view to finding alternative suppliers for any Israeli imports.
Speaking on Galway Talks, Kinvara resident Vicky Donnelly says the town is proud to support this international campaign.
Meanwhile, a vigil will be held in Loughrea this evening for the people of Gaza.
It gets underway at the West Bridge in Loughrea at 5pm.
